Chapter 1: Participation Guidelines

1.1 Eligibility

  • Participants must be genuine players of Ragnarok X: Next Generation - Global.
  • Participants must not have violated any operational policies of the game, infringed upon the rights of others, or engaged in behavior harmful to public order and morals.
  • Each player may only use one account to participate; multiple accounts are prohibited.
  • The participating character must have a Base Level ≥ 45, and the world level of the character’s server must also be ≥ 45.

1.2 Registration Rules

  • After the War of the Chosen content update, eligible players can register individually by clicking the 【create a party】in the contest hall during the registration period.
  • Only one character per account may be registered. The registered character cannot be changed after confirmation.
  • Players may create or join a team. Each character may only create one team or join one team at a time.
  • A team must consist of 5 to 8 members. Teams with more than 5 members are considered to have substitutes, who share the same competition results as regular members.
  • All team members must be from the same server; cross-server teams are not allowed.



Chapter 2: Competition Format

2.1 Match Structure

  • All matches are conducted in a team-based format.
  • Each match is a 5v5 battle, with win/loss conditions identical to Guild KVM.
  • Match System Rules:BO3 (Best of Three): Applies to Placement Matches, Round of 64, Round of 32, and Round of 16.BO5 (Best of Five): Applies to Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Finals, and all Losers’ Bracket matches.

2.2 Competition Stages & Advancement Mechanism

The tournament consists of the following stages:

  • Placement Matches:Held on a dedicated tournament server. Teams of 5 are matched against opponents with similar ratings.BO3 format. Teams earn or lose rating points based on match outcomes.The top 64 teams by rating advance to the Elimination Stage.
  • Elimination Stage:Round of 64, 32, and 16: BO3 format, single elimination. Winners advance; losers are eliminated.From Quarter-finals onward: BO5 format, double elimination.Winners’ Bracket: Quarter-finals (8→4), Semi-finals (4→2), and Winners’ Bracket Final (2→1). Winners advance; losers drop to the Losers’ Bracket.Losers’ Bracket: Eliminated teams from the Winners’ Bracket compete in multiple rounds (Losers’ Rounds 1 to 4) to determine one Losers’ Bracket champion.
  • Finals:Contested between the Winners’ Bracket champion and the Losers’ Bracket champion.BO5 format to determine the overall tournament champion.



Chapter 3: Rating Rules (Placement Matches)

3.1 Basic Rules

  • Teams with 0 matches played have a rating of 0 and are not ranked.
  • Teams that have played at least 1 match start with a base rating of 1100, which adjusts based on wins/losses.
  • After each match, the system intelligently calculates rating changes based on the team’s current rating, match outcome, and other factors.
  • The rating range is 0–9999. Ratings cannot exceed 9999.


3.2 Rank & Rating Correspondence

3.3 Special Rules

  • Win Streak: Achieving 3 consecutive wins grants an additional 10 points. The streak counter resets after triggering.
  • Loss Streak: Upon the 3rd consecutive loss, no points are deducted for that loss. The streak counter resets after triggering.
  • Match Abandonment: If all team members leave a match before it concludes, the team will be penalized 50 points.

3.4 Ranking Rules

  • Teams are ranked from highest to lowest based on their final rating.
  • If ratings are tied, the team with fewer matches played ranks higher.
  • If both rating and matches played are tied, the team created earlier ranks higher.



Chapter 4: Match Process

4.1 Pre-Match Preparation

  • Equipment & Network: Players are responsible for their own equipment and network environment (mobile or PC). The organizer is not responsible for issues affecting participation due to device lag, network latency, pop-up notifications, etc.
  • Account Status: The registered game account must be in a normal login state on match days. If the account is suspended due to penalties or lost, the player will be disqualified.

4.2 Pre-Match Notes

  • Settings: Players must complete all battle strategy and performance settings before the match begins. Changing strategies during the match is prohibited. Leaving without permission may result in a loss.
  • Preparation Phase: A 1-minute countdown before each round allows players to use items, adjust skills, change costumes, or chat. Character/equipment development and strategy switching are disabled.
  • Punctuality: Players must arrive on time. Delays due to personal reasons will be considered a forfeit.

4.3 Equipment & Settings Confirmation

  • Players must ensure their device and settings (in-game and system) are functioning properly. The organizer is not responsible for abnormalities.
  • Issues arising from personal adjustments to equipment or network during the match are the player’s responsibility.
  • Pre-match checks are mandatory. Post-match start issues affecting results are not the organizer’s responsibility.

4.4 During the Match

  • Bug Reports: If any bug or technical issue occurs during the match, participants must immediately report it to the organizer.



Chapter 5: Prediction Rules

  • Predictions are available from the Elimination Stage onward using "Divine Emblems."
  • Emblem Sources: Rank rewards, ranking rewards, crystal purchases in the store, successful predictions, daily Odin consumption.
  • Results:Failed prediction: Loss of invested emblems.Successful prediction: Return of emblems plus a share of the losing side’s total pool (based on individual investment ratio).
  • Competing players may participate but cannot predict matches involving their own team.
  • Predictions close temporarily after each match. Rewards and next-round predictions open at 13:00 the following day.
  • If a match is replayed or canceled, the organizer may void predictions and refund emblems.
  • Only one team per match may be predicted. The personal emblem limit per match is 6000.
  • Prediction earnings are subject to taxation.



Chapter 6: Penalty Guidelines

The organizer may issue verbal/written reminders or warnings. Accumulating 2 warnings during a match results in disqualification (substitute may replace; otherwise, the team plays with 4 members).

  • Severe or repeated violations may incur advanced penalties, even for a first offense.
  • Uncorrected violations that recur will be treated as new offenses.
  • If an action violates multiple rules, the most severe penalty applies.



Chapter 7: Player Conduct

7.1 Competitive Integrity

  • Collusion: Prohibited. Includes pre-arranged outcomes, ranking manipulation, signaling, or encouraging others to underperform.
  • Sportsmanship: Players must maintain honesty, fairness, and give their best effort.
  • Cheating: Modifying the client, using unauthorized devices/programs, or any unfair advantage is forbidden.
  • Exploits: Intentionally using bugs for gain is prohibited.
  • Account Sharing: Playing on another’s account or encouraging others to do so is banned.
  • Inappropriate Speech: Offensive, insulting, discriminatory, or harmful language in any channel is not allowed.

7.2 Misconduct

  • Harassment & Discrimination: Any form of malicious harassment, exclusion, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other factors is strictly prohibited.
  • Negative Remarks & Confidentiality: Participants must not post content that damages the reputation of the tournament or the game, and must not disclose any tournament confidential information without permission.
  • Cooperation with Investigations: Players are required to cooperate with organizers’ investigations. Concealment or providing false information will result in penalties.
  • Compliance & Public Morality: Any illegal activities or actions that violate public order and good morals are strictly forbidden.
  • Bribery & Gambling: Offering or accepting bribes or gifts to influence match results is prohibited, and participation in any tournament-related gambling is strictly forbidden.



Chapter 8: Intellectual Property & Other Provisions

  • Selected matches will feature OB-perspective recordings and be broadcast through partner channels, with highlights released on the official social media and video platforms.
  • All intellectual property rights belong to the organizer. Participation implies consent for the organizer to use match-related materials (photos, videos, streams, interviews) for operational, promotional, and derivative purposes.



Chapter 9: Additional Rules

9.1 Rematch Mechanism

  • Starting from the elimination stage, a rematch will only be considered if a server malfunction causes both players/teams to disconnect and the match result is severely affected.
  • Personal reasons (such as being late, misoperations, incorrect settings, personal network or device issues) are not valid grounds for a rematch.
  • Except for server malfunctions, no other circumstances will result in a rematch.
  • Rematch time will be arranged by the organizer, and both sides must use the same configurations as in the original match.

9.2 Appeals & Final Authority

  • The organizer holds ultimate authority over rules, player eligibility, scheduling, and penalties.
  • All decisions are final and not subject to compensation or alternative remedies.

9.3 Final Interpretation Right

  • The event committee retains final interpretation rights for these rules. Unspecified matters will be addressed at the committee’s discretion.
